Finalists: Inject the personality of a sleek fast and focused marine predator into your design. We encourage you to experiment in the first two days of the finals. Choose design elements from a Marlin. Give some different font choices. Consider creating interaction between word and graphic. Overlapping could work well if executed perfectly. We will give rapid feedback.
A marlin is a fast billfish with a dorsal sail. Your design should subtly incorporate elements of a marlin (bill, sail, tail, mouth or eye) but I do not want it to simply be the exact shape of a marlin. I want it to be stylistic or slightly abstract and to represent the sleekness, determination, focus and speed of the fish. I want the logo to convey that we are competitive, focused and forward looking for our clients. I also want our competitors to see us as strong and determined. I would prefer logos that are to some extent your original artwork, not clip-art.
I would like the motion in the logo to be directed from left to right. So if your idea is a stylized marlin head, it would be facing to the right.
If you are worried you cannot do fish well, don't. I think you could do something as simple as the eye, mouth and bill in a stylized way. Let your talent shine on this one.
Looking forward to seeing your ideas and thank you very much for participating.
