Epic logo for scientific project about reindeer living above the Arctic Circle

I lead a research project based at a natural history museum (at a university). The project uses genetic sequencing information derived from ancient reindeer bones collected from the arctic tundra to investigate the fascinating evolutionary history of the Svalbard reindeer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_reindeer), which lives in an extremely harsh environment (24-daylight in summer, 24-hour darkness in winter, very cold year-round with very little food) on the Svalbard archipelago (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard) high above the Arctic Circle. The Svalbard reindeer is distinct from all other reindeer in that it is shorter, stockier, light-gray colored, and solitary (does not form herds). The logo will be used on a project website for the general public to learn about the science we are doing, as well as in our social media presence (Twitter/Facebook). I have a vision for the logo: I imagine a Svalbard reindeer, head bowed low to brace against the biting cold wind and snow, against a backdrop of snow-covered mountains, glaciers, and fjords, the landscape of Svalbard. Perhaps a baby reindeer is alongside the mother. All inside a round frame. If DNA or other genetic elements can be included in a creative and not-heavy-handed, those ideas are welcome.
