How Driver Technologies started their logo design journey
Driver Technologies is looking for a professional, crisp, clean, and fun design which displays a balance between both the graphic icon and text. Designs similar to the way Apple/Mac GUI is with gloss and dimensional design. If anyone is familiar with The Logos books many inspirations can be pulled from them (tres and dos logos).
This is solely an Internet based click and mortar website catering to customers seeking OE navigation systems, multi-media, peripherals and interfaces for various European and select domestic vehicles.
Please take into account that colors and structure will very however I wanted to provide this to maybe assist with things.

What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are looking to have a logo icon and company name designed which can be used for our homepage, letterheads and print ads if need be. Design must be clear and crisp with little frills which distract from the name itself. We would like to see a design which has a gloss effect similar to how many flash sites display buttons and icons. Additionally we would like the same image as a flat 1 dimensional rendering for screen print or methods which do not allow for color overlapping.
We are open to color pallets however we have narrowed down some choices which we feel would work particularly well with this brand.
Blue #3682df, Dark Grey #43403c, Light Grey #a39d94
Red #e63247, Dark Grey #43403c, Light Grey #a39d94
We would strongly like to see a distinguished and SIMPLE icon to the left of the words Driver Technologies. We would like something more techy rather than automotive related (ie, checkered flag, wheel, etc). This can be completely abstract even.
- Space for a tag line or phrase- Horizontal design layout- Case which is balanced- Sans serif font- Exact or similar colors noted above- An icon incorporated into or beside the Driver Technologies text- An alternate rendering which has ".com" added beside or below- To have color and B&W logo options- To have the logo show up on both light and dark backgrounds
- A busy and complicated design- Design which is too round or vertical- Feminine color pallet- Designs which look as though they were made in word art
