brentqR got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a professional logo for a sustainable, environmentally conscious aquaculture company.

We believe in sustainable and environmental ways to better the local water ecosystems. We grow oysters from tiny seed to market / retail size. Oyster seed is sold to other oyster farmers to raise. Market sized oysters are sold to retail restaurants and other venues. We also design and sell oyster growing equipment, and provide consulting on setting up your oyster farm. Our mission is to promote and support the aquaculture industry in the state of Delaware. Our products are grown using sustainable, innovative techniques, while improving water quality in the local estuaries. Our desire is to develop environmental stewardship in our global community through educational opportunities and experiences. We have slogans, but not sure if they will fit with a professional logo. "Seed to Supper" and "Tide to Table" are both of our slogans. Industry isn't agriculture, but Aquaculture. Aquaculture was not listed.
Our website is www.delawareoysters.com Our first logo was designed in Paint. It is funny to look at now 3 years in, and we realize it is not cutting it anymore. It is the shape of Delaware which is where our business is located. The inland bays where our oysters are grown is in the lower part of Delaware, which is why we put an oyster shape in the logo. We would like a better looking more professional logo that we can start to use in re-designing our business cards, merchandise, Facebook, etc. We want to ensure the logo shows what we do, incorporates colors that involve water, environment (blues, green, neutrals, grays). We do enjoy the shape of Delaware being in the logo, but are open to all ideas.
