UPDATE TO BRIEF 10:04am 10/25: Removed sketches.
UPDATE TO BRIEF 10:07pm on 1/24: thank you to everyone who took my designs and created logos. If you are new to the contest, please feel free to design something different as Inwas able to see what my ideas would look like.mi don't want to limit creativity and would like some other options for the logo.
UPDATED BRIEF WITH IMAGES ABOVE AT 4PM ON 1/24: I've added a few sketches of logos that I'd like to see executed. I'm not limited to these, but would like to see these ideas come to life in a logo. Thank you!
I like script font, but am open to options. The logos above were not focused on just a name, so I don't feel they are reflective of what I like for a name. Something that is strong, but feminine. Readable. Makes you feel happy when you read it on it's own. Also able to stand on its own on website.
I chose communications as a category because most of my work focuses on personal self-care -- spa-like activities, home, lifestyle, exercise, going out in nature, digital detoxes, food, etc.
The focus of my work is to help professional women slow down, own their power, believe in the value of kindness, and connect to their own intuition/knowing. We do this by taking people out into nature: picnics, hiking, (laying on the earth), and just sitting out in the sunshine and talking/sharing vs. looking at a PowerPoint presentation in a windowless conference room.
Most of my clients are professional women working in large corporations (manager and above) or run their own business. They are overworked, overwhelmed and stressed out. I want to help them bring wellbeing back into their life which will make them happier and more productive at work.
Brand Character: Happy, Free, Simple, Clean, Approachable, Cozy, Friendly, Spa-Like (Feel relaxed when looking at my content)
Likes: Simple, clean, natural, usable in a variety of formats (size, color, dimension, etc.), can be used on products (t-shirt, mug, etc.).
Dislikes: Busy, hard angles, technology/futuristic look, stock images
I need my name to be readable and feminine.
My current website (http://www.heathermariewilson.com) was put together by a friend many years ago in a rush with no investment. I haven't done anything to it in years. I have another book coming out this year and am really ramping up my business, so want to start with a new logo. Once I get that done, then I will go forward with other design elements and update the website. Please don't look at this website as an example of what I like (because I don't), but it might be good to read a bit about me and my previous book.
