How richardwaterman46 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
The Artist Gallery.com
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Artist Gallery.com is a website that provides a platform for artists of various genres to display their art form on their own individual "Artist Gallery" pages which encompass the artist's music, photos, sculpture, paintings, performances, or whatever form of art they choose to convey. While the website has historically been about piano music, I'm pursuing a broader direction to include the above mentioned genres in the future.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

The current font I'm using for the header on TheArtistGallery.com is called Allura. I would like it to be similar to that font or something like Edwardian Script or somewhere in between. The idea is it should look classy. As far as the overall design of the logo, I've thought of including elements of the different forms of art presented on the website such as a piano or piano keys, musical notes, paint brush, paint palette, sculpture tools, camera or video symbol. All or any of these could be incorporated in the logo. The colors should incorporate the theme of the website which are dark red/maroon, white, black, and optionally dark blue. But the most important would be red/maroon, white and black. If you feel some other color will work well with the website theme, I'll consider it. My first requirement is the logo should be classy to match the underlying theme of the site which is to try to present every artist gallery page in the most classy presentation possible. I've decided to include the .com in the logo, but perhaps smaller than the main text, or even extended vertically off to the side.
