Indie publishing studio focusing on publishing novels in the romance and fantasy/science fiction romance genre. The organization will also eventually branch out to creating and selling video games and movies. Essentially the studio will become a "story studio", using different formats to tell stories, and those stories will specialize in the love story. The target audience is women, between the ages of 20-45.
While the organization's products are cast in a positive light, the acronym for the company--"CR&C"--stands for "a rope, a chair, and a chandelier". It's a dark, sarcastic sentiment that is rather personal. So there's a juxtaposition, or an "opposites", between the name of the organization (which will remain an acronym) and the products to be sold (love stories in a variety of formats).

The logo will be on the spine of indie books and on the website. I think making sure the logo is flexible enough in format and style and design to be shrunk down to the spine of a typical paperback and still be readable is critical. It would be appreciated if the designer had experience working on a logo design for a book publisher (preferably an indie publisher).
