Asteria originates from the greek word for starry and the latin meaning for a precious stone. Asteria is considered the goddess of stars. She was the Titan goddess of oracles, prophetic dreams, astrology and necromancy.
I like these company logos:
My educational background is in fashion & jewelry design, art history, and fine arts- mostly metal sculpture...however I've found it extremely difficult to create a logo for my own business. I don't love my current logo, but needed something that wasn't especially offensive for my letterhead until I found one that I like. I prefer colors on the cooler end of the spectrum and do not like red/purple. Aesthetically I prefer clean lines, legible font, I tend to lean more towards asymmetry. I think it should go without saying (although I will anyway) that comic sans & papyrus fonts do not belong on logos. I'd like this design to be clean and crisp, but creative & interesting. It will be added to our letterhead & website for immediate use, but will need to be incorporated into business cards and clothing at a later date.
The logo needs to present this company as energetic, creative, but also reliable and offering quality products/services. We are a young company and still finding our niche market. We appeal to a variety of industries due to the services offered, but many of them are involved with the US government sector. We will be applying for SBA's HUBzone program in the next few months and we are considered a woman-owned small business.
