Community & Non-Profit
We give trainings and consulting sessions to vegan advocates and vegan organizations worldwide in order to increase the effectiveness of their advocacy. 1. Our mission statement: Increasing the impact of vegan advocacy worldwide 2. The adjectives we would like to be representative of the Center - Experienced - Impactful - Effective - Valuable (making a valuable contribution, very useful for activists) - Important (as in doing important work) - Committed (to activists we are serving, and the movement) - In service 3. Our target audience A. Professional Vegan advocates B. Donors (they are especially focused on seriousness/prestige/ impact) 4. What we want to express We want to express the idea of diffusion: we go somewhere, give a training to some advocates that will become more effective advocates and will be able to create more vegans/advocates. Also, we want to express the idea of increased effectiveness. We decided to use a dandelion because we thought that it is a good way to represent what we do. In fact, we help activists to become better vegan advocates. So, ideallly every seed of the dandelion is an effective activist that will go somewhere else and create more vegans and so on. We like the ripple effect as well, because it also expresses the idea of ideas that expand and grow. The problem is that so far we have seen literally dozens of sketches with the dandelion (not only on this platform but also with other graphic designers) and they look pretty much all the same, is just an icon that has some variations and the text. They are all beautiful logos, but so far we have not found one that feels unique enough for us, and we don't feel identified. So we are totally open to better ideas. If I had to summarize what is the core purpose of our work, I would say: "we create change" We will choose the most unique and creative logo. 5. Things we would like to avoid: Even if we are a vegan organization, we don't want to fall in the chiché of the leaf/veggie/cute animal logo. We want to avoid all these concepts and get a logo that is serious and creative, 6. Website Palette So far we have clear that we want to have the color 11D45E in our website. Also, white. The website will be bright, clean and modern. 6. Font A the moment we don't have a strong opinion about a font we would like to use. The only thing we have clear is that we would like to avoid cursive or italics.
Other color requirements
So far we have seen many logos already and most of all are nice but very basic, with an icon and the text which are not very originally integrated. We will choose the logo that can better express our values in a creative and unique way. We are a non profit and we deeply believe in the importance of our work, so we want to have a logo that we feel strongly identified with. It has to speak to our hearts! We would like a very simple and very creative logo. (examples of what we mean for simple and creative attached). Since the name of the organization is very long, we would prefer to have it in 4 lines, in a squared rather than horizontal shape. So it would be: Center for Effective Vegan Advocacy Get as creative as you can, surprise us, and you will be the winner!!
