I'm a lighting designer for theatre and live performance, working with both professional organisations as well as schools and universities.
Logo types to explore
I think there is something in the idea of taking the the initials of Tom Willis Lighting Design and linking them into a single line, so TWLD as one continious stroke, maybe like the filament of a light bulb...that said, I don't want the design to be too detailed...at the end of the day I would prefer a strong concept simply realised. The end image should work well in several different applications, with the potential for the image to be inverted (ie, white on black or black on white)... The first two images I attached are my old logos - both of which I designed myself at various points over the past few years. I'm looking to take it up a level in terms of quality, and also looking for a design that can be inserted across a wider range of uses. Subsequent images are logos that I like - some are a bit random, but i'm totally ok for people to surprise me with a concept that is a different from the brief.
