Twang Media
Twang Media is a new independent film company currently developing and producing feature length projects including, narratives and documentaries as well as commercials, music videos and web content. Twang is an American company based in Los Angeles with international goals.
When creating your concepts please keep these things in mind. We are much more about... "let's try it", than, "that will never work". However here is a guideline to consider.
It is very likely this logo will be animated at a future date.
Here are a few things that might inspire a direction for your designs. None are more important than the other and are certainly not required, just food for thought. Wing, window, glass, glasses, detailed, gothic, steampunk / Jules Verne, whimsical, machine(d), brass, wood, leather. Hand drawn, pencil, ink, are also interesting.
Twang means different. Sometimes it means, you have a southern accent or a draw to the way you speak. Sometimes it means that food you just took a bite of has turned bad. To us at Twang Media, it is whimsical, unique from the surroundings, new and old at the same time, edgy. Mostly it is a battle cry to be imaginative and unusual in our approach to the subject matter of our films.
This contest is now blind so that originality can reign. Please have fun with it. We like to dream about the future and be nostalgic. We like analog and digital. It's our job to make the impossible seem completely feasible. Please use your unique imagination in the creation of our logo identity. It is paramount that the design is original and not derived from an identifiable artistic / intellectual property. Please, no clip art. If you need direction in your designs please feel free to send a message.
This is a contest that was locked due to a request from Twang Media to have the contest scanned for use of clip art. It was found to have a high incidence of clip art use. Also in the previous design brief we had mentioned "dragons" as a concept. Mostly interested in wings and maybe head. The use of clip art dragons left a bad taste in our mouth. No longer interesting is the dragon. If you submitted before, you can submit again. Thank you for participating in this contest for Twang Media.
