Colors/design - In some way shape or form we would like to have our logo incorporate the attributes and/or attitude associated with Patriotism, Military Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Mind/body/Spirit (see below)
Values/ideas to incorporate in some manner into the logo are Patriotism, Military Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Mind/body/Spirit - this is the idea of treating the entire patient and making sure they are cared for in all aspects of their lives.
Military link - We are medical students who have received a scholarship from the United States Army, Navy or Air Force. Once we graduate from medical school, each of us will serve as residents and physicians in the branch of service we are tied to. We will do our residency training in a military hospital and then serve as a military physician in the capacity of our particular specialty domestically and abroad.
Target Audience: Our members and prospective members (other medical students in our school who are on a military scholarship)
More information about our group can be found on our website - http://students.amops.org/ - The logo you design does not have to fit the current website color scheme, we can easily change the color scheme of our website to fit the design/symbol we choose.
Osteopathic Physicians (DO's) are just like allopathic physicians (MD's) with additional training in a manual medicine technique called osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). You can read more about Osteopathic Physicians here: http://www.osteopathic.org/osteopat…fault.aspx
Here is a map of all the Osteopathic Medical Schools at this time: http://www.aacom.org/resources/book…-14-11.pdf
The DO symbol is the Rod of Asclepius. We do not require that this is incorporated into the logo but if you would like to use it, two examples are below.
