Our current logo and website (alivecor.com) are placeholders and do not need to be used as a basis for the new logo. While our ECG product is our first product, AliveCor may have other medical products in the future, so ECG/heart imagery does not have to be the basis of the logo, though it can be.
The logo has to communicate: simple, accessible, powerful, accurate, clinical quality.
The tricky part is that our smartphone ECG product and our future products, is that they will be used by physicians and prescribed to patients, but will also be available to consumers everywhere who want more info on their heart or digital health information. The logo has to appeal to a cardiologist as well as a someone at a retailer that is interested in mHealth devices.
Our products will be marketed to both doctors (from cardiologists to general practitioners), nurses, EMT first responders, veterinarians, patients, and general consumers all over the world.
