Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
When Fred Shelton, the famous Broadway actor, returns to his home town and agrees to save the regional theater's season by starring in their Christmas play, the residents of Butler Hills have a renewed holiday spirit. IT doesn't last though, because Fred's approach to the role of Santa Claus challenges everyone in town. With each of the town's actors involved in their own personal dramas and Thaddeus, the theater director, having to face his past and rocky friendship with Fred, it will take more than a visiting star from the east to make the theater's production and the Holiday season successful. The story is both poignant and entertaining and can't help but keep one in the Christmas Spirit.
This musical play is for a sizable cast (20 or more) of adults, teens and children and has enough sub-plots to allow many characters to shine. The score includes original Christmas songs and enjoyable show tunes and also includes fully orchestrated tracks. The modern day setting requires minimal costuming and relatively static sets.
This is the fourth wholly original musical play by two time AriZoni award nominated composer/lyricist Thomas Graca (Count the Moon, The Corny and Bright Show, Actor's Life for Me).
