How lauriebhp N started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Love Between the Covers
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My feature length documentary film "Love Between the Covers" is about the global community of women who write, read and love romance novels. This film is part of a larger project, the Popular Romance Project, and the logo for the film needs to be visually related (kind of a cousin) to the logo of the Popular Romance Project. Using the same two fonts seems like a good idea (Deftone Stylus and Frutiger Bold). Take a look at PopularRomanceProject.org. (fyi, my other films have won major awards and this film will be seen around the world; you can check out the work I've done at blueberryhillproductions.com.)
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The two typefaces used in the Popular Romance Project logo are: Deftone Stylus and Frutiger Bold. I think the same two typefaces should probably be used for Love Between the Covers. The logo should be PLAYFUL but ELEGANT. It will be animated for the opening sequence of the film. So you can play with the idea of books/book covers, but it should not be corny or literal. Please do NOT use images of hearts (or beds). I'm attaching two versions of the Popular Romance Project logo, and two attempts we've made at a logo for Love Between the Covers. They are OK but not nearly good enough. See what you can come up with, please!
