Jcjasyoung got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create an eye catching logo for TheBestAupair.com

We are an online platform that allows families and au pairs (they are like a live in nanny) to meet. The site is a global website and the way it works is that families enter in a profile, load photos of themselves and their family and they write the job duties that they want their au pair to do. The au pair writes their profile, loads up their photos and writes what sort of family they would like to come and live with, and what sort of jobs they would like to do. Au pairs typically live with their family for 1-12 months, and they do it so that they can travel and see the world earning some pocketmoney and many of them want a job in child care so this is a way of getting some experience with looking after children.
Logo types to explore
There are two primary target demographics for our website: mothers who want to find an au pair to help look after their children (fathers will also be interested, but mainly mothers) and females between the ages of 17 to 27 (again, boys are also au pairs but they are mostly girls). We have provided a link to a draft version of our branding and our webpage design. We are going to use the image down the bottom with some refinement, and better integration into the site, and we don't mind the font type of "the BestAupair", although we are completely open to new designs. We don't like the cartoon people on the logo - thats why we are running the competition. Website design link: http://07.com.au/clients/thebestaupair/previews/preview5/ We would like the image to have an au pair with a boy and a girl and we like cartoon characters. We would like them more modern and here are a few links to iStockPhoto images that we like the style of, but we want original versions. This one is a picture of buildings and cars, but we really like the style of illustration: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-7428279-cartoon-cityscape-buildings.php?st=4102544 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-15515509-happy-frends.php?st=4102544 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-14792542-children-with-rocket-in-space.php?st=4102544 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-18084840-office-showroom-open.php?st=4102544 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-12756051-soccer-players.php?st=4102544 Overall the brand should be fun, but very professional - our site is all about finding an au pair who is going to live in your house and look after your children - there is nothing more precious than your children.... As our site is also a global business if there was a way of incorporating a global theme, that would be great? Good luck :-) Thanks.
