Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are an online art gallery, focused on selling high end art, which is predominantly bought by men (62% of sales). However, we are a not for profit organization and all our income is invested back into the company and into a grant program that helps support Emirati artists with their work. We only sell Emirati artwork. We also include a database of famous Emirati artists with short biographies on them, and we link to other webpages which have information of scholarships, grants, etc for Emirati artists. We would prefer if the Arabic name could be incorporated into the design.
Vision Statement: To promote Emirati artists and their work worldwide.
Mission Statement: A platform for Emirati artists to sell their work online and a resource base of Emirati artists and the support available to them.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

An online gallery displaying Emiratis would promote Emiratis worldwide, thus helping them gain international popularity and spread Emirati culture to other countries. It would give other cultures a greater understanding of Emirati‘s and what inspires them, and at the same time would help Emirati artists earn an income. This in turn would help with diversifying the UAE economy with Emirati’s not being so dependent on government income which primarily comes from oil. Furthermore, it would assist in promoting UAE as an art hub and as a center for arts and culture and would support in bringing in more tourists interested in such works.
The platform would also assist collectors in having easy access to Emirati artists’ works and would act as a reference guide for local and international galleries and institutions on Emirati artists and their work.
