dmose needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 78 designs submitted by 29 freelance designers.
The logo should be clean and modern looking, not really set on using an image or clipart style icon, would rather pure text but open to anything. I would also like to use part of the logo as an "icon" for a favicon so the identifiable part must be able to be sliced from the text and still identifable when shrunk down to 50x50px
labellux.com
Tagline:
Brand obsession at it's finest
Desired Color Scheme:
orange #FF9900
Desired Style:
Clean, modern. Two L's linked back to back or ontop of each other.. to the left of the text would be nice but open to any style. The two L's are NOT required but would be nice.. Focus on high end brands and use prada/versace/gucci as inspiration for desi
Accepted File Formats:
.psd, .jpeg
The site is called LabelLux.com .. so thinking of using to L's back to back as the base something like http://www.jlindeberg.com/ or http://www.lavalife.com/
***********************START UPDATE*************
**UPDATE** - CANCEL the double L's - too many brands already use it. I'm leaning more towards an icon with LUX on it .. and the word LabelLux beside the icon. So far, the best icon i've seen is a TAG (looks like a clothing tag)
*********************END UPATE******************
Lavalife is a good example as you can cut out the two L's and use that as an identifiable "brand" portion in icons/favicons etc.
The site is a photo tagging site that lets users upload photos of clothing and label them. The focus is on luxury brands, so use high end coutoure sites like http://www.versace.com/flash.html or http://www.robertocavalli.com as inspiration. The font has to be clean and professional, not cartoony or childish.
The tagline is NOT required in the logo, but if you can fit it in... go for it.
Tagline is "Brand obsession at it's finest".
The website color scheme WHITE background with the following:
