Celebrating 10 Years of Empowering and Saving Lives
Community & Non-Profit
We are Just Like My Child Foundation, a small but effective non-profit humanitarian organization empowering communities in Uganda and Senegal, both countries on the African continent, to create real change, through support from our donors and partners. (www.justlikemychild.org) We're on a mission to empower the world's most vulnerable girls to avoid the deadly pitfalls of poverty -- because we believe girls are great change agents with the power to break the devastating cycle of poverty and abuse. Our first step is to reach 1 Million Vulnerable adolescent girls in the developing world by empowering them to stay in school, avoid early pregnancy, disease, forced early marriage, rape and early dropouts. This logo contest is to celebrate our tenth anniversary year, to be used throughout 2016 on all of our materials as part of a full year's campaign, it will also be used to promote our annual fundraising gala, to convey the theme of our campaign: "Celebrating 10 Years of Empowering and Saving Lives" because we are celebrating the remarkable difference we and our donors have been able to make. The attached logo draft was designed by the founder's 13-year-old son who is THE child in Just Like My Child, so we are basically looking to have this concept used and turned into something professional and replicable with typeface that matches our logo, backgrounds that can be used on white background and knocked out of dark background. Our target audience, our donors, are well-connected, affluent, influential and globally conscious individuals who are serious about leaving a legacy behind. They are passionate about investing in the next generation, to show their children what it means to be a global citizen and contribute in ways that make the world a better place. The logo should be as they are: a clean, sophisticated design that moves you to take action.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Let designers make suggestions:
The last image attached below is the one created by the founder's son. The colors, the two hands, signifying 10 years is an important element. Would be ideal if the logo could be incorporated into something circular so that it's easy to use anywhere and isn't too rectangular and cumbersome. the other images are just some concepts I found online.
