Animal & Pet
We are looking for a logo for the Caribou Conservation Centre, a conservation centre dedicated to the recovery of southern mountain caribou in British Columbia, Canada, at the foot of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The logo should be simple yet sophisticated and modern.
Other color requirements
The design can be in color, but must translate well to black and white.
Hello, Thank you for considering this project! We appreciate your talent and are thankful for the time you would be investing in making our vision come to life. The purpose of the Caribou Conservation Centre is to propagate southern mountain caribou in a conservation centre to reinforce existing wild populations and preserve genetic diversity while habitat conditions are being restored. Here are a few design guidelines for your consideration: - The design for the Caribou Conservation Centre can be in color, but must translate well to black and white as we hope to stitch the design onto uniforms. - The "Caribou Conservation Centre" name should be independent of the logo so that the logo can be used without the name. - We like the use of negative space to include multiple elements without making the logo too heavy (see The Wilds logo). - If you decide to portray an animal in the design, it should be female and non-threatening. - Key concepts for inspiration include wildlife conservation, maternity, endangered species, sustainability, safety, comfort, health, nurturing, growth, etc. - Elements to include in the design should revolve around the following themes: Southern Mountain Caribou (adult and/or calf), Rocky Mountains, snow, conservation centre, etc. - The overall style of the logo should be pleasant without being childish; serious without being threatening; and artistic without being too abstract. - Since the Caribou Conservation Center is focused on breeding animals to produce calves, we suggest a design that shows caribou calf as a negative space superimposed to a female adult caribou. - Please avoid submitting a logo that only include an adult male caribou above text. Keep in mind these guidelines are only for your consideration and that we welcome any design you think would fit our vision well. We are looking forward to receiving your submission! Cheers! Amelie
