The prime targets for our campaign are school counselors, teachers, administrators, and other leaders of groups who might participate. Secondary target audience would be the kids who will do most of the fundraising, along with their parents and potential donors who might be looking or addt'l info.Primary use of the log will be for a brand new web page and also printed media such as stickers & labels on the collection bottles as well as handouts, printouts, etc.The challenge is creating something visually appealling for adults who will help implement the program (i.e., teachers who might look at the website and agree to bring the program into their school or class) as well as children & adults who will be the real fundraisers (i.e., kids taking the the branded bottles home and showing them to adults as they fundraise.)
Just fyi, BottlesforBabies is a program of International Hope & Heritage, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in the U.S. However, none of the existing colors, logos, etc. at hopeheritage.org should influence this design. Our intent is to undertake a complete re-design of the overall IHH branding sometime later in the year. BottlesforBabies should have and will continue to have its own look and feel.
One other note - we have no pre-conceived notions of whether or not the shape, silhouette, etc of the African continent should be used in the logo. We are fine with logos without "Africa" included. However, we are not opposed to its inclusion and might consider it depending on the overall look. Seeing just a few of each early in the contest (with & without Africa) should help us decide very quickly which way we want to go, and we will be prompt & informative with feedback to guide designers. Thank you very much for your consideration.
