Sanctuary Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy in Madison WI. We differentiate ourselves from other academies by being apolitical and informal. We are an open and inclusive academy that welcomes all practitioners. Instead of being closed, restrictive, and protective of the art of jiu-jitsu we aim to share our love of the art to everyone and invite everyone to share it with us. Although this description sounds non aggressive. We want our logo to be strong and bold. I just want to illustrate that we are much different than most martial arts academies. More on this later. Project Description: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy looking for a versatile logo. The logo needs to be versatile in that it will be used on social media and as a favicon as well as in large scale on outdoor signage and apparel. Specific Instructions: Looking for a logo that is simple, bold, abstract, geometric, and minimal. We don’t want any obvious lettering or imagery. Most Jiu-Jitsu academies incorporate triangles, belts, initials, acronyms, lettering, and/or animals in their logo design and we want to stand out from the crowd of monotonous logo design elements within Jiu-Jitsu with a very simple and bold design in an abstract mark style or a pictorial mark if the image is only implied and not obviously representational.
