The end-goal of this website is to help and motivate people to purchase a blood pressure monitor. The website will have a full range to make people knowledgeable about the area (all in plain english for the regular joe):
1 - i will have comparative tables of several Blood Pressure Monitors
2 - Will have reviews of Blood Pressure Monitors
3 - Will have plenty of posts about hypertension consequences, what is hypertension, why it damages organs, why it causes stroke, etc
4 - will have lifestyle advise.
One important thing is the "brand character of the site". This is not an enterprise or business. This is a website made by someone who lost his brother recently. My brother died of stroke due to a blood pressure spike. He could still be arround if he had a BP monitor and had detected earlier that he was having these spikes every now and then. I have spent 1 year studying hypertension and, for my brother's memory, i want to spread the word and make sure people are aware. Please see the "about me" document that i will attach. This means that the site should not look like an enterprise, or like a scam. It should look very clean, personal, and "home made, yet with quality". The clean stye of an apple website is something that i have in mind as inspiration.
One design style that i think matches that is the pencil-hand-drawn. I think of use it in 2 ways:
- I want to have pencil-hand-writing notes through the site (text, arrows, etc). It gives it a amateur yet visually appealing look and, from a recent post of Neil Patel, it really gets your eye attention (check it here: http://www.quicksprout.com/2013/08/…-tracking/ ).
- I want to have icons in the same pencil-hand-writing style as the examples i attach. This will be done after the logo, but would be great if the logo follows these queues (which i think go well with "quality", "white", "apple", etc which i mentioned above)
Target audience will be the 40-50yo people searching online for the device.
