Entertainment & The Arts
I'm creating a podcast about leadership and entrepreneurship. Every episode brings together a business leader with someone from a completely different background to talk about a specific topic on leadership and entrepreneurship. For example: - a Broadway Stage Manager & a Venture Capitalist talk about "Adapting When Things Go Wrong" - An Air Force General & a CEO talk about "Leading Remote Teams" - a Diplomat & Director of a Business Accelerator talk about "Building Ecosystems" - an FBI Agent & a CEO talk about "Staying Calm Under Pressure" - a NASA Scientist & a Co-founder/CTO talk about "Visionary Leadership" - an ER Doctor & a CPO talk about "Prioritization" - a WNBA player & a Super-networker talk about "Reading a Room" - a Refugee & an Entrepreneur talk about "Starting Over" Target audience: Business professionals ranging from aspiring leaders to C-level execs. Average age ranges around 28 - 50. They're also reading The Economist, WIRED, Forbes Magazine, and Medium, and listening to NPR and Masters of Scale.
I’m open to see all kinds of ideas, but would like to show the concept of having people from completely different (and interesting!) backgrounds provide their perspective on leadership in business. I do want to make it clear that it's a podcast about leadership & entrepreneurship, but that it incorporates all different kids of people's perspectives. The direction I've been thinking (though not set on it specifically) is having sketches representing a few of the interesting professions (e.g. an astronaut for NASA, an FBI agent, a basketball player, etc. Maybe also include a standard-looking business person somewhere to show the juxtaposition? The challenge is it will be small but needs to be easy to understand quickly. The name is a play on words. It could be understood as: - Wise Insights from Others - Insights you wouldn't get otherwise - Other insights that are wise For that reason, I've been writing the name "OtherWise Insights" and making "Wise" stand out by making it orange #ffa800. I would like to keep that part, both the orange color and the way the name is written. Currently there's a placeholder for the site at otherwiseinsights.com. In case it's helpful, the rest of my website uses the Gotham font family. This doesn't have to, just giving context. I created a bad mock up (attached), and I'm clearly not a designer, but from a conceptual standpoint, I like that the name is easy to read and it shows that there are people with interesting backgrounds. I'm also attaching a few more sketch-like images that I like which have a similar feel to them. My favorite is the "Working People" image. The only other piece of info that might be helpful is that I'm a leadership coach and consultant. My primary goal is to just get these stories out there because I think they are fascinating. My secondary goal is to drive traffic to my website. Thank you so much for helping me turn my passion project into a beautiful reality!
