This is an annual event in DC in which volunteers hike 31 miles in honor of the indivduals who were killed August 5th, 2011 when thier CH-47 (Call Sign Extortion 17) was shot down in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan while en route to support a distress call from fellow service members engaged in a firefight. They sacrificed everything to help their brothers in arms and we hike 31 miles to honor that sacrifice. The audience is comprised of prior military and those who sympathize with the patriotism of those who gave all. The logo should include three basic elements: The Warriors cross, The rotor pattern of a CH-47 and the phrase "31 Heroes, 31 Miles". The colors involved should be Red, White, Blue, and Black.
