Happy to go with a combination that you think is best but would like to keep orange as our main brand colour if possible.

We like our current branding but it's time a professional stepped in and updated it for us! We want to appeal to big future clients (we currently work with Deloitte, Thomson, Autotrader) so need to show a certain level of professionalism and style.
We feel our work is premium and high-end compared to most other production companies so we're hoping to reflect that in our branding.
We're heavily influenced by http://www.wearevariable.com and their 'look'.
I don't think our logo needs to be too literal (i.e. I'd rather not have a flame or anything 'film' related in it).
