German insect start-up looking for a great logo!

Insektenproduktion (not a slogan, but our business type)
Hi to you all, We (Stefan and Ben) have identified the insect species Black Soldier Fly (BSF) as a high-potential product, mainly for the animal feed industry. This means we are planning to rear BSF larvae/flies. At the very moment we are about to start with a very small-scale prototype production to test what potential buyers might be willing to pay for what products we could derive from this insect. Our options range from bio-waste processing (e.g., BSFs can feed from municipial waste, turning it into valuable protein and fat) to selling dried BSF larvae as agricultural animal feed to farmers, to producing pet food based on insect flour, to designing halloween gadgets decorated with dried BSF larvae. As you can see, we are at a very, very early stage of founding our business. Thus, our first logo needs to be rather generic / abstract. What it is supposed to indicate are the following attributes: a) progressive and innovative (the whole insect business in modern terms is a very new industry, basically inventing itself at the moment) b) "green" and eco-friendly (rearing insects requires significantly less resources to produce valuable proteins and fat compared to conventional sources such as soy). While not yet really specified our most likely target audience would be farmers in Germany (in our experience a very male-dominated industry) who are not too traditional, but have a rather modern mindset (while this industry in general seems rather traditional so we should not be overly progressive-seeming). However, it could also be municipalities or any common members of the public who need to dispose of their bio waste. In our opinion green colours make the most sense for our logo by far. If however, you have an alternative idea that matches our story/idea, feel free to suggest it to us. Thanks a lot in advance for your logo designs - we are really looking forward to check out your ideas! Cheers from Frankfurt Stefan and Ben
Since we expect a rather abstract logo to be designed there should not be the need for using any existing stock material. If however, you feel like using such is essential for a great design, please only and exclusively use Creative Commons that explicitly allow commercial use.
