New illustration/graphics wanted for THE LAND OF ZION

THE LAND OF ZION

We are a gaming company currently working on a new strategy card game to publish. The target audience is teen through adult. This game WILL be in the same market-share as games such as Magic the Gathering and other collectable card games.

We are looking for the main logo for our game called 'Land of Zion'. This logo will be used on our playing cards used with the game as well as the manuals and website. We are looking for a high quality design that will be a real eye catcher. Our game design team will work closely with each artist that submits entries to give constant feedback throughout this contest. Please be advised that we will be looking for artists to provide additional work for character design and playing card designs after the logo is finished. Any artist that submits designs for the main logo will be considered for additional 1 to 1 projects. While we are open to whatever creativity artists come up with for this logo; we do have some ideas and samples to guide your ideas. As far as the game - this is a table top game played with a game mat and playing cards. It would be comparable to Final Fantasy Tactics (PlayStation). We have attached artwork that has inspired us in design and style. In the game there are 7 elements that play into the gameplay. The elements are Wind (green), Water (Blue), Fire (Red), Earth (Brown), Darkness (Black), Light (White), and Neutral (Copper/Tan). In game the elements are represented by crystals that are used in combat. We would be open to using the 7 crystals in the logo as part of the design (all 7 colors). We have also thought about the look of a sword along the bottom of the text. Again - we will be giving constant feedback and direction as we proceed. We look forward to working with all of you!

After receiving some questions we would like to add the following:

There are 7 job classes in this game that use different weapon types (some use more than one type).  They are:

Sword, Bow and Arrow, Book/Staff, Instrument, Spear, Axe, and Hammer

We mentioned that the gameplay is similar to Final Fantasy Tactics in the description, but played with cards.  We really like the way the FF Tactics logo uses different characters and shows their weapons (see below).  You may want to use a similar approach when designing this logo, but this you don't have to.  We are open to whatever you come up with and will give plenty of feedback.  As far as the colors - all of the crystal colors do NOT have to be used in the design, but they could be.  Thanks for all of the interest!

In response to some questions; please submit designs as they would look in playing card format.  Cards are 2.5x3.5 inches and seeing the design with a border and background would help greatly.  Thanks to all for the interest and support!  We look forward to your designs!
