DEUTSCH: SIEHE UNTEN ENGLISH I have written a satirical Corona novel that I will release as a self-publisher in early 2021 in German. (So I won’t make any money with it, I suppose.) The first of two proofreading runs is currently running. For the book cover I need a comic/cartoon style drawing. The plot: Michael Ritter is a presenter on Rocking Radio. Like all other 8 billion people on earth, he is also drawn into the vortex of the Corona crisis. As a running gag he wears a different band shirt every day, all of them show a different motif of the biblical Apocalyptic Horsemen (see file upload „ApocalypticHorsemen“). His radio station lost its advertising orders, which is why the employees start a crowdfunding campaign. To push it, Michael develops the following t-shirt design: "[...] a cartoon Corona virus with arms, legs and a scythe in the right hand. The left hand showed the heavy metal sign with a little finger and forefinger and at the same time held the reins of a sinister stallion whose skeleton was partially visible. The animal reared up under its death rider and let flames come out of its nostrils." The template is this Bible verse: “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death." (Revelation 6:8) ................................................................................................................................... DEUTSCH Ich habe einen satirischen Corona-Roman geschrieben, den ich Anfang 2021 als Self-Publisher auf Deutsch veröffentliche. (Geld werde ich also damit wohl nicht verdienen.) Aktuell läuft der erste von zwei Lektoratsdurchläufen. Für das Buchcover benötige ich eine Zeichnung im Comic-/Cartoon-Stil. Die Handlung: Michael Ritter ist Moderator bei Rocking Radio. Wie alle anderen 8 Milliarden Erdenbürger wird auch er hineingezogen in den Strudel Corona-Krise. Als Running Gag trägt er jeden Tag ein anders Band-Shirt, alle zeigen ein anderes Motiv der biblischen Apokalyptischen Reiter (siehe Dateiupload „ApocalypticHorsemen“). Seinem Radiosender brechen die Werbeaufträge weg, weswegen die Mitarbeiter*innen eine Crowdfunding-Kampagne starten. Um diese zu pushen, entwickelt Michael folgendes T-Shirt-Motiv: „[…]ein Cartoon-Corona-Virus mit Ärmchen, Beinchen und einer Sense im rechten Händchen. Das Linke zeigte mit kleinem und Zeigefinger die Heavy Metal-Pommesgabel und hielt gleichzeitig die Zügel eines finsteren Hengstes, dessen Gerippe teilweise zu sehen war. Das Tier bäumte sich unter seinem Todesreiter auf und ließ Flammen aus den Nüstern schlagen.“ Vorlage ist dieser Bibelvers: „Und siehe, ein fahles Pferd. Und der darauf saß, dessen Name war: der Tod“ (Offenbarung 6,8)

DEUTSCH: SIEHE UNTEN ENGLISH This apocalyptic Corona rider should now adorn the book cover (in relief printing). The drawing should have impact and above all the threatening horse act as an eye-catcher, while the virus makes you smile: It consists only of a large ball with arms and legs. The Corona virus should wear the black hooded coat that is associated with Death. The horse explodes with energy and yet is dominated by the virus. STYLE: cartoon/comic COLOR: Yes, but must also be convertable to grayscale and appear as a small icon (e-book reader preview image). The virus is allowed to pop in color and stand out from the horse. PERSPECTIVE: Frontal, slightly oblique and from below, the horse must look down at the viewer from above. The viewer must have the impression of being overridden in a second. (Rough orientation: file upload "SamplePerspective".) BACKGROUND: No background (envelope will be designed elsewhere) FILE: Please as jpg, png and vector graphics ....................................................................................................................................... DEUTSCH Dieser apokalyptische Corona-Reiter soll nun das Buchcover zieren (im Reliefdruck). Die Zeichnung soll Wucht haben und v.a. das bedrohliche Pferd als Eyecatcher fungieren, während das Virus schmunzeln lässt: Es besteht nur aus einer großen Kugel mit Ärmchen und Beinchen. Es trägt den schwarzen Kapuzenmantel, mit dem man den Tod für gewöhnlich assoziiert. Das Pferd explodiert geradezu vor Energie und wird doch vom Virus beherrscht. STIL: Cartoon/Comic FARBIGKEIT: Ja, aber muss auch in Graustufen umgewandelt und als kleines Icon wirken (e-Book-Reader-Vorschaubild). Das Virus darf farblich knallen und sich vom Pferd abheben. PERSPEKTIVE: Frontal, leicht schräg und von unten, das Pferd muss den Betrachtenden von oben herab anschauen. Dieser muss den Eindruck haben, gleich überritten zu werden.
