We Need an Iconic Illustration of a Texan Legend

One of our products is CBD oil, veterans experiencing chronic pain are one of the largest demographics of CBD users. These veterans often are also fans of football and football stars from the 70's, 80's, etc. That being said, we're partnering with Earl Campbell of Houston Oilers fame to release a line of "Earls Oils" CBD oils.

With the aforementioned in mind, apparently one of the most widely recognized images of Earl by that demographic is either him in his football uniform or the attached images of him posing in the cowboy hat and holding a football. The NFL is notorious for going after anyone that even remotely borders on copyright infringement, so we cannot use images of Earl in his uniform. That leaves us with these photos of him in the highly Texan/kicker style outfit holding a football (there are only 2 of those photos attached, all of the other attached photos are reference for his face in his late 20's/early 30's). We cannot however use those photos either, and copying them exactly as an illustration won't quite cut it. We need a serious, professional hand-illustrator to look at these photos of Earl in this general pose and outfit in his younger years and change it up in an illustration enough that an argument could be made about the illustration not infringing on the copyright for these photos. Your illustration does not need a background, just Earl isolated. That being said, the key features of the illustration you provide would need to be a full-body vector illustration of Earl in his 30's (young face from around the 80's) in cowboy boots, pants, long-sleeve shirt tucked into pants with a belt (make the belt buckle different from the one that appears in the photos, I would suggest a moderately large rodeo-style buckle with a longhorn head silhouette in it, and make sure your silhouette doesn't match UT's Longhorn football logo) and a cowboy hat. But again, all of these things need to appear arguably different in some ways than they appear in these photos. Having Earl hold the football in both hands across his waist to change the pose overall is one such way I would suggest you explore. Different details on the long-sleeve shirt, perhaps a more flat-brimmed cowboy hat, etc. Also the illustration should be well detailed in terms of the face because we may want to zoom in on just the bust for some uses. In terms of the style, if you feel particularly inspired to do a true caricature of this we are open to it, but please sketch that out very roughly and share it for feedback before you spend all of your time refining a caricature; again this illustration does need to be quite similar to the attached photos in that a quick glance would have someone easily mentally connect our illustration to these photos. The balance between similarity and legally arguable difference is going to be tricky. I wish you luck.
