Entertainment & The Arts
We're an alt-rock band for KIDS aged 2-99, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. We've been on TV and tour internationally. We wear blue work coveralls, actually play our instruments and perform live which is very rare in our demo where actors and tracks make up most of the foolishness out there. We are treacle-free and encourage kids to be creators instead of consumers. Our core demo is probably 2-12 and we fuse the spirit of alt-rock with age-appropriate concepts. FYI - ultimately we want our concert/performances to be a shared experience for everyone in the family - not just the kids.
What's your vision?
We want YOU to help us create a 6-panel CD/DVD package (we'll provide the templates, images and encouraging guidance) for our newest release entitled LICENSED TO MOVE. We're doing an homage/parody of the cover and back of the Beastie Boys 1986 album 'Licensed to Ill' while putting our original spin on it. The BB cover features the tail of a painted plane with a BB logo and assorted numbers, tags (see attached image). 1) For our cover panel, we want to replace their realistic painted plane with a 'painted' paper airplane but retain the color, brushstrokes, hue, etc of the original cover. (Note: I am adding two file references of paper airplanes because a pure profile will not convey 'paper airpane' so a tilt will be necessary to provide the details to convey that it is indeed a PAPER airplane). Also, if you need to convert these particular files to that painted-look then by all means, they're there for you to use as need be. Also, I have the Louisiana State flag, Imagination Movers logo, and our Rec Room logo for you to use on the plane (BB used the American flag, their logo in a diamond and Def Jam) as well as use the following text: IM61802. We are also adding photos of the band at the bottom, whereby each Mover (Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty) is looking up at the plane. I've added multiple files of each Mover for you to select and use according. Right now: we're oscillating between having those photos be chest high, headshots, or cut heads (see reference mock). Likewise, we want to add our title: LICENSED TO MOVE at the top and do it in a flight destination information display board (see reference mock). 2) On the back panel, we'll reveal the rest of the paper plane. Note: whereas the BB cover had their plane crashing into the side of a mountain - we will NOT. Our back, will feature two puppets and our tour drummer also looking up at the plane from the bottom similar to what the 4 Movers are doing on the front. On the back panel, we'll have the song listing (top left). At this time, we have not finalized the listing but it will be 12-15 songs. If you just number it to 15, I can change it later. IMPORTANT: Whatever is created, must include a psd file so I can input the titles later. Likewise, we'll leave some room for a few sentences about the DVD content (probably underneath the front of the paper airplane)- placeholder text: This DVD features over 30-minutes of live concert footage, hilarious interstitials and three music videos. Also, please put the CD logo, DVD logo and our Rec Room Records logo to mimic the placement of the logos on the Beastie Boys back panel. 3) On the extra panel that folds in, we'll extend the color scheme (same background color from the front and back panel) with the heading: CREDITS (done in same treatment as the title on the front) and I'll simply add all the text information necessary for the CD/DVD: songs written by, produced by, etc. 4) For one of the TRAY panels use the attached vector background of paper planes on grid paper. If there is anything you can do to 'fit' this background with the overall color scheme we will appreciate it. For example, the shading of the planes is blue-ish - if that could be altered to fit in with the colors/hue of the overall look, that's what we're aiming to accomplish. Also, feel free to insert some of your creativity here. 5) For the other TRAY panel please use the attached vector background of the retro aviator's helmet for the other. Again, if there is anything you can do to 'fit' this background with the overall color scheme we will appreciate it. Again, applying your creativity is wanted. 6) The extra panel between the two Trays will again have the same color scheme as the others with the heading: THANKS (done again with the arrival/departure tiles style) and I'll simply add all the text information necessary underneath. 7) CD - please use the speaker file and this text in a contrast color wrapping the edge of the disc in very small font size: [copyright symbol] 2014 Imagination Movers, LLC All rights reserved. Unauthorized duplication is a violation of applicable laws. Made in the USA. Of course, we'll need to have the name: Licensed to Move and our name: Imagination Movers creatively incorporated in the design as well. 8) DVD - please use the lens file and the same text as you used for the CD. That's it! * On first glance, you might think there's a lot here - but as you've read - we've made most of the panels very easy to ready/design simply by using our attached vector and/or high resolution files. ** Most of the specific text, we'll fill in later. *** IMPORTANT - also, we will want an additional psd file comprising essentially the look of the front panel and back panel together in an 11x17 file. We'll use that as promotional posters for the product. **** All image files sans our photos we've purchased from iStock or Shutterstock. We have the copyrights on all our images and logo, etc.
We will be a constant resource. Please know the mock we included is just to give you an overall grasp/context/feel for what we're hoping to accomplish. It is not to suggest the specific look. We're hoping your creativity will help us with pay homage to a group we love while making it developmentally appropriate for our audience without dumbing it down. Please use your talents and creativity to make our vision amazing and WORK :)
