It's a personal website and blog that publishes my book reviews, articles on cycling, and acts as an advertising platform for my own book.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I want an illustration or sketch for the home page of my website, to sit under the banner with a menu alongside. The drawing will reflect cycling and reading (or writing), and could be as simple as a man lying on the ground reading a book, with a bike alongside him. Or it could be a cyclist crashing into a pile of books. I am open to ideas. While the drawing certainly can have some humour, it is not a cartoon or caricature. I am expecting a black and white line drawing, but again I am open to other ideas. The person in the drawing will be me, but identifiably so. Black hair, glasses, in casual cycling gear will do.
I quite like the style of drawing on this website: http://thisworldofdew.com
or a James Thurber cartoon (please google) -- simple and unfussy is what I am after, although I know that can be hard.
