What's your vision?
I want a vectorized, layered design for a featured character on my website. I would use the following words to describe the character: Bad ass, Confident, Has a cocky smile, Muscular, Large, Has a mohawk, Wears "biker" clothing. I want the style of the illustration to be like a cartoon. More in the veins of Mario or Disney than, detailed and realistic. However, I do NOT want the character to look "kiddie" or cute. I would like two vector files. I want the first image to be with the characters head slightly down but his eyes are looking directly forward. He is smiling in a cocky, mysterious, and almost arrogant way. I want the look of the eyes and mouth to be clear and stand out above the rest of the character. I think the image should clearly convey: Hi. Don't F*%k with me. Especially in the image of the eyes and mouth. Just provide a vectorized, layered image of the character in a relaxed, standing, confident pose. I want the second image to appear more mysterious and "bad ass." Something for the purpose of creating a brandable, abstract LOGO that reflects the full design of the character. This is what I had in mind, feel free to alter it if you wish: I would like there to be a completely black background. I want to convey a sense of curiosity in the prospect when he or she first views this illustration. I would like to see just the eyes and mount of the character, nothing else. Refer to face1.jpg and face2.jpg in the attached files. I will use this image on our homepage, up top, and right next to the UVP. Needless-to-say, its got to instantly convey to the prospect what the "musician monster" is all about, and make them curious to find out more about our site. I would also like this image to be acceptable to put on a t shirt.
After seeing a couple of submissions, I want to give a few general suggestions. Please Increase the overall shadow of the character, the more submissions I am seeing the more I think it would be better if the character appeared "faceless" with the focus on his body's silhouette. Let the eyes and mouth remain centerpiece, conveying most of the characters personality. I sincerely appreciate it!
