Second Act Fables is a publishing company with a goal is to redefine and create the modern-day fairy tale and publish quality content. Legends and stories are the fabric of society. It makes us who we are.
What's your vision?
Looking for an artist to create the cover of a book (all fonts, descriptions, publisher logo, etc., will be added by a different team later). Other notes as follows: (1) Included an attachment on the book cover dimensions. Note, follow the diagram as the work should be modeled based on the folds of the book. Total length should be 21 inches (length) by 9.5 inches (Height). (2) Also included a sample cover for modeling purposes. Note, always open to designer recommendation. In this very rough model, it’s a blue background with computer code flying in the background, a rock legend modeled after Chris Cornell or Ozzy Osborne, and a key. I’d rather have the code changed to issue commands such as philosophical quotes such as the following: Alwaysrecognizethathumanindvidualsareends, anddonotusethemasmeanstoyourend. Accept.Outside.Control. Uppercase_sample = 'START.MORNING.COFFEE.' Lowercase_sample = 'seebeautyofgood' if (navigator.geolocation) Means.Are.Everything. function (Pause.Reflect.Majority) SRC = Will.Youself.Win. Function: ThinkForYouself. (3) Included two cover pictures used in the past for a previous work. Note, the fonts, author descriptions, etc., will be similar. Also, wanted to illustrate an example of the required output (KOL2) and the final work with descriptions added later (book cover.pdf). (4) Book Overview: Despite the talent, Elliot Ross can’t seem to grab success. He’s been coding a security program since high school, each day he adds a little more code and then a bit more. To get his dream project off the ground, he hires his high school nemesis, recruits his college roommate, and sinks a significant amount of cash into an office building the size of the Empire State Building. He has grand ambition. But somewhere along the way, life takes a turn. Fighting the daily battles have taken a toll. He is now out of cash and has payroll to make. He believes his wife is about ready to pack her bags and leave. The world is collapsing around him. To turn his life around, he is offered a deal by a local Rock n’ Roll god, who also owns the local ice cream stand in a dimly lit corner of town. Is the man a devil? Hard to say but he is willing to make a deal. In exchange for all the cash Elliot has left, he can learn the equation to solve life’s problems, known in dark circles as The Day Life Breaks. (5) Other Descriptions in the Book: Mid-West River Town, Fender Stratocaster, Early 2000s, Gateway 2000 computer, Servers, Gas Station, Zoo (a lion), A rock god who looks like Ozzy Osborne or Chris Cornell, Baseball cards, Origami, Blackbirds, Nokia Cell phone, a letter sealed in wax. Feel free to draw on any of these as inspiration. (6) The final cover should be an original work of art and look like a painting to a degree. Our previous works all used painted works of arts as guides (so, show some brush strokes if inspiration strikes). (7) Author Bio: J. Scott Bradley The author grew up in the middle of nowhere in the heart of Middle America. He still believes baseball is the National Pastime, telling stories remains an important part of our culture, any only true gods can play the guitar. He still has his day job and lives with his family in Middle Tennessee. And good luck!
Feel free to build other concepts, the included option was only a guide.
