NOTE: PART OF THIS CONTEST IS NOT ONLY TO FIND GOOD ILLUSTRATIONS, BUT ALSO SOMEONE I CAN WORK WITH IN THE FUTURE. THIS MEANS TAKE FEEDBACK AND MAKES ADJUSTMENTS. WHAT THAT MEANS IS THAT THOSE WHO SUBMIT ILLUSTRATIONS EARLIER WILL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE THAN THOSE WHO WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE; WHEN I MAKE MY DECISION ON WHO GOES TO THE FINAL STAGE. I am writing kids books. I am looking for this project to target 9-12 year olds. I am open to different styles. The purpose of this contest (Hopefully) is not just to find one artist for one illustration, but for several projects. THIS BOOK WILL LIKELY BE BETWEEN 166-200 PAGES SO MOST OF THE ILLUSTRATIONS INSIDE THE BOOK WILL BE BLACK AND WHITE (PERHAPS EVEN LINE ART). The cover is likely to have more color to it if needed. I am looking for an illustrator for two books. One of the books is a Christian devotional for kids and the other is a non religious book full of fun stories.

There are four stories I'm looking for illustration ideas for: FIRST STORY White Lie I told a little white lie It was tiny you know, real small I didn’t think that my lie Would hurt anyone at all What I did not know Is that lies often grow So now my lie That once was very small Is so large, it can reach the sky SECOND STORY BLOCKHEAD Once upon a time, there was a boy I knew His head was the shape of a block No, really… ….honestly ……………seriously ………………………it’s true His noggin’ wobbled when joggin’ His head outweighed his bed His melon was twice as big as Helen His cranium filled a stadium His skull dwarfed Istanbul His nob fell on Bob His brain became a pain His scalp was four by four by two No, really… ….honestly …………….seriously ……………………………it’s true… THIRD STORY LAZY CLAIR Lazy Clair Was oh so lazy, That she thought work was crazy. All she did was sit and stare In her lazy chair. She would not walk here or there, She would not talk or even share, Why it was she had no cares. Then one day lazy Claire Transformed into a lazy chair (Pic: Claire turned into a lazy chair with eyes and pony tail) FOURTH STORY LOCH NESS MONSTER I met the Loch Ness Monster He stands up real tall I found out he’s really Not that mean at all I met the Loch Ness Monster He said he’s really shy I found out he’s really A fairly decent guy I met the Loch Ness Monster Others do misjudge him I found out he really Cannot even swim
