Hello Designers, Here is what I'd like to do. I'd like to make a "coat of arms" for my girlfriend and I for 2018 Christmas. We've been dating for two years and its going great. We have extremely similar humor styles, life styles, a strong love for cats and all thing adorable, appreciate the little things, and more. What I'd like to do is take things we both love and blend them into medieval style coat of arms. She's a huge fan of Scottish/British history and knows more about the evolution of the European royalty than I could even imagine. We both love movies/shows like Game of Thrones, Braveheart, etc. Below is some details that I think will help. We are both cat people. Unfortunately she lost hers recently, but fortunately we have my 2 to entertain us. They're starting to bond with her a lot which is great. One of the cats, Lil Squiggle, is very silly and the phrase "silly goose" stuck; mostly because we are both a very silly couple when it comes to managing the stress of life. We always try to stay realistic and mindful of all life's stresses and end with a smile on our face. Our newly semi-finished basement was just flooded and the whole time we were giggling and laughing through the process. I'm actually typing this while chatting with her and waiting to do my next round of stuff on the basement. (Had this idea during the many hours of the basement clean out, so here we are!) So lets talk about what I'm thinking about. I'm thinking of having the coat of arms be under the theme of the "silly gooses". I actually love swords and have them hanging in my living room where I am. So I figure my side of the "arms" could be a sword, and her's could be knitting needles. Being that we are huge cat lovers if you can figure out how to make a cat have a "goose theme" or a goose have a "cat theme" i'd take either. The cuter the design the better (just don't go like crazy anime please). I've always preferred simple logo designs like the FedEx one (because of the Arrow), the Sun Microsystems one (cause its recursive), or simple ones like Yarn (https://yarnpkg.com/en/), or my logo I created (attached below). Basically, I'm asking for a silly request for a silly design to have fun and help entertain my girlfriend and I. I image we'll make t-shits and use it for gaming avatars. I figured a contest was the best way to get a lot of designs so let me see what you can do. More than likely the winning style will get more follow up work and tweaks, so have fun with this one! If you want additional questions answered about personalities/design-choices feel free to ask. Friendly heads up, winning design will probably get printed and put on a shield in my living room with my swords, so good luck! Edit 1: Please see the main message around July 8th 10ish Am central time. Changes things just a little.
