The Australia Institute
The Australia Institute is the country’s most influential progressive think tank. Based in Canberra, it conducts research on a broad range of economic, social and environmental issues in order to inform public debate and bring greater accountability to the democratic process.
The aim of this graphic is to illustrate carbon dioxide emissions for a number of countries. We want to use the theme of the commonwealth games for this graphic to make it more interesting.
The graphic should have a title that says 'Commonwealth Games:Who wins the medal for CO2'
Underneath this should be the data on countries Co2 emissions. This is available in the attached spreadsheet .
We would like the data to be represented as a race. So Australia should be in front and other countries should be behind, proportional to what the actual number for CO2 emissions is. Maybe put the number for each countires Co2 emissions on their uniform or above their head. Or if you have another idea that would be great.
We are also welcome to other ideas, apart from the race, of how to represent the data using a commonwealth games theme. It would be great to see what you come up with.
Down the bottom should be a line that says 'Australia wins the coal medal'.
We are happy with either landscape or portrait which ever works best with your design. We would like it A4 size please.
