Friendly and easy to deal with. Took direction well and was sincerely interested in making a good icon.
We are absolutely happy with the result of this contest. AMSEN was really quick and precise doing all sort of changes, and the proposal was creative but specific enough for our purpose :)

I would like a fun, cute, eye catching icon for a creative app for children. The app should be high res - 4K pixels - with smaller versions that will also have to look good (sometimes it's a matter of redesigning a bit, not just shrinking down.)
The app is called PuppetMaster and allows children to easily animate a character - a "puppet" as we call it in the app - and create video from this. The app also utilizes the device camera for some things.
The app has a sort of hand-made paper-cutout feel for a lot of it but the icon doesn't necessarily have to have that at all.
Note: I have actually had something designed for this before in another contest but I have decided that was the wrong direction - I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, and now I realize that wasn't the right idea. You designers did great work, but I was directing it in the wrong way.
So - let's see what you all come up with now. Please be creative and have fun :)
I'm attaching a little guy who is in the app in some of the GUI. For the icon, something based on this but taken to the next level would be nice. He is supposed to be a wooden mannequin, a sort of puppet.
Also, here is an icon I really love for an app from The Little Robot (It does not belong to me!) http://www.littlerobot.com/
I love how cute it is. I love that you can see the character right away, and somehow it looks simple but still conveys what the app does. I also love how within the app they have a 2D version of this robot but the icon takes it to another 3D looking level. Not that you must do 3D, I'm open to anything, but I just really like the way they did it here.
