zakos got their new flash banner by running a design contest:
flash banner for Ginny's
Check out zakos's Flash banner contest…
Ginny's is a catalog brand and online ecommerce site. Here's a little background: Since 1990, we've been dedicated to making life a little more fun, a little easier—and to helping you create those unforgettable moments with your family and friends.
What's your vision?
Design and create online display/banner ads for Ginny's using flash animation. Goals: - Create aesthetically pleasing and engaging banner ads - Increase response rate from online shoppers - Improve click-through rate (CTR) compared to previous ads Sizing: The ad must be created in 3 different sizes - 728 x 90 (Max File Size 30k, 40k for Flash) - 300 x 250 (Max File Size 30k, 40k for Flash) - 160 x 160 (Max File Size 30k, 40k for Flash) Flash Formatting - Animation stops after 15 second, 20-24 FPS - All Flash ads must be published for Flash Player versions 4-10 - Provide backup image (gif/jpeg) Notes There must be a strong call to action included. "SHOP NOW" is what we've used in the past. Be creative. Please use the Ginny's logo, but creativity is pretty open at this point. We'd like to stay away from white backgrounds so the ad doesn't blend in with the pages it's displayed on across the internet. I've attached the ads we're currently running and the ads we ran last spring. www.ginnys.com has more information about the brand and you can see our product offerings as well.
Looking forward to what you come up with. We're really trying to rock the boat with a fun, new flash animated ad that's brand right...Can't wait to see the options!
