I construct an icon of a double cross that appears to be in forward movement. The double cross is also to hint towards community, or sisterhood and brotherhood. The design uses a contemporary style of subtle and sharp cut shadows, to give dimensionality and an air of mystery. Overall, I wanted to convey supreme elegance, with an element of edginess that would appeal to a contemporary youth audience, while also traditional. A forward movement on solid foundations. The double cross also reinforces St. Teresa, in constituting a “T,\" giving a particular anchor to a traditional icon of the Catholic Church. A bold and confident mark.")

We explored a number of styles, from classical to modern, in both standalone marks and composite logotypes, which is ultimately the direction the client took. Along the way, this occurred.
The descent of the angel. Asymmetry that creates form and movement. As if stepping out of the sky and onto ground. The form is purposely left oblique. From the divine issue forms before which all comprehension dissipates.
The angel in a moment of coming. A wide embrace. Things we await. Redemption. It is forward-moving. Proclaiming.")

The craft is in the detail of the lines and the curves and the balance and harmony achieved through subtle differences in weighting across the mark. The mark also uses negative space to create dimension and uniqueness.")

I set my mind to journey, back through so many pathways, to the centre of the labyrinth of Christianity. Along the way, the jolts informed the mark. It is cut. Like the body of the Christ was cut. In one part, it ascends. Like the body of the Christ ascended. It looks outward. Across a landscape. Across history. It draws the viewer to interpret. To understand. And beyond these characteristics, it is silent and permanent.")

Our organization wants to collect donations for church projects (Christian churches) with the help of crowdfunding. The focus is on local projects. This means that everyone can make a difference in their environment (in their parish) with small amounts of money. Individual donations grow into a group of benefactors. Examples of projects include the restoration of an organ, purchase of new songbooks, enabling of participation in youth camps, new tableware for the parish kitchen (homeless people) or the restoration of a statue. People will be made aware of the donation platform and the projects via social media, but also by distributing flyers in the parishes.
The operators of the platform work voluntarily, the platform is financed by specially donated donations. The money donated for projects is given 100% to the projects.")
