I want to avoid a curvy molar tooth look that I see most dental offices use in their logos and branding. It would be ok to try incorporating a smiling mouth or a toothbrush into some of your ideas in a creative way to see if I like that. If you do incorporate a tooth, smile or toothbrush, I would like it to be almost hidden or creative enough that it took a second look to figure it out.
More than anything I would like something that incorporates and captures san diego as a place (ie, beach, ocean, coastal, waves, sea life, marine, or skyline ). Clean bold, classic high contrast, modern, simplicity design. Ideas for the logo: focused on san diego, my name, my initials (JH), creative smile/toothbrush or a combination of these. Geometric shapes also sit well with me.
Blues and greys are the core colors, open to tan colors as well. Ok to add some very limited accent color of yellow, orange or red to make it pop and attract attention. The name and logo will be incorporated into a sign on the storefront eventually so I would like it to be readable from a distance as well.
Excited to see what you come up with.
