I've included some images, which should by no means restrict you:
Some online logo generator came up with an escheresque tile-based design, which I enjoyed for its mind-f*** quality :-)
Cabralytics is a word play combining my surname "Cabral" with the term "Analytics". Cabral itself is supposedly derived from cabra, which in Spanish or Portuguese means as much as goat. While, the final design needs not necessarily have to employ a goat image, I couldn't resists glancing at some nice goat designs (with and without tiles).
In the sketches I moved away from the goat and closer to the C-like shape of the sheppard's staff (image included for reference), but friends told me that it's too far fetched for anyone to understand. Also, it shouldn't remind the viewer of a skorpion's tail :-D
In case you decide to split up the name, please do "cabral ytics", rather than "cabra lytics". (I got it wrong, when I was recently required to put up a sign on the mailbox, as shown in the final sketch.)
On the one hand side, the logo needs to appeal to a rather conservative clientele, but on the other hand side it needs to attract creative tech-savy staff. Thus, subtle mind-f***s and easter eggs are most welcome, while anything but mandatory.
Hopefully, this makes the challenge a bit more enjoyable.
Thank you for participating! Have fun and knock yourself out ;-)
