Lynn’s Therapy was founded by Lynn in February 2014 as a physical therapy practice within a CrossFit affiliate gym (http://www.crossfitbasel.ch). Lynn is a 27-year old certified physical therapist from Switzerland, passionate CrossFit athlete, very positive person with lots of energy and a very positive mindset. She cares a lot for others and has her heart involved in everything she does.
At her therapy, Lynn’s focus is to use manual therapy and soft tissue treatment in conjunction with functional training elements to get (mostly CrossFit) athletes on to the path of elite level performance. Through her knowledge of how the body biomechanically functions, Lynn is able to use movement as a diagnostic tool for pain/movement restrictions as well as to limit the risk of a sports-related injury even before the first signs of pain or discomfort appear. Lynn’s clients include young and old, both chronic and acute pain sufferers, those suffering from traumatic debilitating injuries, in addition to high level athletes. Her clients have seen remarkable reduction in pain as well as improvement in overall performance in a matter of a few sessions. Her belief that pain should not limit someone's ability to do anything they want to do together with her motivational tactics have helped many people reach goals they never thought possible.
Lynn offers performance-based sports medicine and manual therapy with an emphasis on soft tissue treatment, applying specialty techniques like Active Release Techniques® (ART), Dry Needling and Trigger Point Therapy. She is uniquely qualified to combine her therapy techniques with her knowledge and experience as CrossFit movement and mobility coach. Lynn’s background as an athlete which includes competing at the CrossFit Regionals 2013, in Olympic weightlifting, strongman, triathlon, horse riding, and fencing allows her to relate to athletes from different walks of life. She not only likes to work with competitive athletes, but takes delight in working with elderly patients and people who want to become or remain healthy.
Having a “I want to know more” mindset, Lynn is constantly increasing her knowledgebase through physical therapy, CrossFit and all over physical health with professional certifications, continuing collaboration with therapists and coaches, as well as reading everything she can get her hands on. Lynn’s personal philosophy and passion in life is to create environments of success that allow people to reach their full potential.
