Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Helping seniors live healthier longer through proactive awareness of their health conditions, through social engagement for encouragement, support and accountability, and with a safety net for personal safety and emergency response.
We specifically provide a mobile personal emergency response device (think "I've fallen and can't get up" but fare more advanced - it can detects when a person falls) which also captures health related information and shares that information with care team members (family, close friends, call center nurses, neighbors, etc..
The service is targeted at seniors in their 70's and 80's, although the principle buyer is often the son or daughter.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical

The service is analogous to General Motors OnStar offering. We often talk of the offering as being "OnStar for Health". Competitors would be GreatCall, Philips Lifeline, and Life Alert. Unlike them, where they are trading on the fear of something happening, we are focused on freeing seniors to live healthier longer through a solution that works where ever they are, not just in the walls of their home.
We have considered treating the device as a personal assistant - someone there to help if you get in trouble. The device comes in two colors (white & dark silver), and there is some thought to calling the white device "Alice" (after the brady bunch) and the other "Max" after the assistant from the TV show Hart to Hart.
