Flowers in the attic
Brittyn Adams has been writing poetry since she was eleven years old. Starting in her purple diary covered in sparkles she fooled outsiders to think she was scribbling when in reality she was practicing wordplay. She wrote about adult problems that she faced as a young child. Her perspective was constantly changing and so was her poetry. She was never satisfied with her work which resulted in the long and hefty self-publishing process. This is her first piece of work but not her last. Brittyn writes with confidence while indulging in provocative and passionate experiences in hopes to inspire others. While her writing can be compact, it also is profound.
Flowers in the attic discloses the acceptance of facing adulthood with denial trailing close behind. It captures the agony of growing up while focusing on the beauty of growth. While these poems can be gloomy and ghastly, they are also optimistic and promising. It does not exult adulthood rather faces it in fear which can give readers a sense of commonality.
I would like a ladder that is flowing into the attic. There would be a girl at the top, her head is in the attic while the rest of her body is still balancing on the ladder. She will be facing away (her backside). I would like her to be in her underwear with a short shirt on. I would like it to be captured as if she is trying to catch her balance. I want her to be cutting flowers from the attic and the flowers with stems are falling down beside her. I would also like the scissors to be in her hand and to be shown in the drawing. The concept is, she is cutting down flowers from the attic because she does not understand why they are there. The dimensions are 5.00wx 7.50h. Font style: bradley hand. I would like flat color design. Mood should be youthful but deep. Sand color cover with the girl as brown skin. white underwear and white top on her and baby pink flowers falling beside her with green stems.
