YA ADVENTURE-FANTASY COVER WANTED

Entertainment & The Arts
I write YA Fantasy books that use excessively short chapters to build 'suspense' and make it easier and more fun for readers.
What's your vision?
FALLOCH This is the first in four books of a series I am writing. I love consistency, so whoever designs this book cover will most likely be asked to design the next three. This is a YA Adventure-Fantasy book. Every three pages, something new or exciting happening. It is about a girl, Bonnie, 18, who was raised in Oneida, Tennessee and her best friend, Francis, A blonde boy with russet brown eyes who has a crush on her, being brought through a portal on O&W Bridge to a kingdom named Falloch. Bonnie finds out that she is a badass half Faery (halfling) with orange and brown wings shaped almost like a butterflies but slightly off. The point of the book is she is in search of the redheaded Queen in order to kill her and free Falloch from her hold on it. I want people to feel a sense of wonder and excitement when they see this book cover. I want them to see it and know they are in store for an adventure. In the scene of going through to the other realm- patches of wood on the bridge start falling before purple lightning strikes the sky and an almost tornado starts pulling the bridge apart and upward to leave Bonnie and Francis in the center of it. The portal opens in the sky and sucks them in. People loved the idea of a portal opening and I liked all their positive reviews on it. Bonnies wings are mostly orange but they are also sort of yellow toned(not neon) but more like the dim areas of a sunset (check picture for reference), the brown is more so outlining the wings (see picture for reference) and there is one white dot on each wing in the upper corners. Bonnie has black/dark brown hair (curly) with sea green eyes (diamond-shaped pupils) and tan skin. If she is portrayed, I’d mostly prefer it be a faraway look at her and her to have a sword in hand and would love her eyes to stick out. She has pointed ears (they are no taller than a humans- just sharp) The other two main characters is an averagely cute blonde boy, Francis, around 19 and a troll, Kedeit, around the age of 30. The troll has a slightly pink skin tone and is bald. The troll wears a red handkerchief-type hat that hides his scalp. He is about 6.5 feet and wears small-rimmed glasses and a red robe to match his hat. His ears poke out like a football but that is the only unproportioned part of him. I would like it to be conveyed that this story does mostly take place in another realm. I love the colors of the galaxy and would love to have the baby blues, pastel pinks, dark violets, deep blues, silver, etc. included in the book cover. (mostly directed towards the portal/sky) I don't like dark covers- no black/white images. I also love Kelly green and turquoise, if there is a forest incorporated. I need this book cover to stick out, I want it to say ‘Page-Turner’ at first glance. The book is titled Falloch. I really enjoy these different types of fonts: • Algerian • Footlight MT Light • Harrington • Lucida Handwriting • MingLiU (In caps) • Monotype Corsiva As far as text effects go, I really like Fill- White, Gradient Outline- Accent 1 (with black font) NO tacky stock photos (and no use of any images that will cost anything extra) NO images that require installation of special software for download.
Bonnie is obsessed with music as well; before she went to Falloch she was waiting for a letter to see if she was accepted into Julliard. She loves playing the piano so if that could be incorporated too then that would be neat but not necessary. The photos I've uploaded do not belong to me, therefore cannot be used on the cover. They are put there just for an idea of what I'm going for. They're there for inspiration, not for a background! :P

Amazing designer. She did everything I asked for (and way more!) and didn't use any tacky stock photos in her art. I love my new book cover and will most likely be going through her for the rest of the series! :)
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
