Front Cover: Book title: The War for Fundraising Talent Subtitle: And How Small Shops Can Win Author: Jason Lewis CFRE & AFP Master Trainer use of a simple "tug of war" graphic or alternative graphic to suggest war, combat, battle, etc. I provided an example of a graphic that might work however designers are welcome/encouraged to creatively use their own ideas No guns, violence, blood, etc. Back Cover: While the lone development director at the community organization plans special events, writes appeal letters and applies for grants, an another army of talented fundraising professionals, at the pleasure of the kings and queens of the non-profit sector, are raising extraordinary dollars very differently. The Huffington Post describes the "major giving wars" as high-capacity fundraisers soliciting "bigger gifts from fewer people that benefit the one-percent of non-profits." Don't be mistaken; we're not just talking about the advantages of raising major gifts. Our maturing profession is dividing itself into two different camps with distinctively different perspectives of what our challenges are and how fundraising really works. While one camp fights among themselves for the same donors and dollars, the other camp believes the opportunity is raising up a generation of high-capacity fundraising professionals. [in the middle place Lewis Fundraising logo, EQi 2.0 logo, and CFRE logo In 2014, Jason Lewis launched Lewis Fundraising in order to partner with non-profit leaders seeking to raise extraordinary support for their world-changing visions.
