Sci-Fi novel pentalogy (five books)
What's your vision?
There are five books in this series, and the five covers are very similar. I'm looking for the first cover and will do each new cover approximately every two months. When designing the first cover you might think with the layout for the next four. I've uploaded a few files I hope will help. I would say look at the "SA-Covers" file first. Those are the five covers I designed. Feel free to chuckle, but please no belly laughs. : ) The SA-Covers are the basic theme I'm going for. The title is at the top, my name and the book number at the bottom, and the entire cover is a roman numeral (I, II, III, IV, V). I would like to keep that roman numeral shape with the progression of each cover. Whereas the covers are now black, I would like them in a rich, nuanced purple. The attached "Cover" file is what I have in mind. I've also included a background file, "Cover-1", which is a steel color. That's the thing that will change on each successive book. It is used on all the SA-Covers currently, but on the updated covers I'd like: Book 1 = steel (the way it is) Book 2 = metallic green Book 3 = metallic red Book 4 = metallic blue Book 5 = gold At the center of each cover, currently, is a photo that's supposed to be the main character. I want to replace that with a logo. The logo should also be kept as a separate file, for use on other items. The logo should be a stylized star, with a specific rune in the center. This is where we'll need your creative interpretation of my chicken scratch. : ) The "Logo-Rune" file is my best effort at a made-up rune, or glyph. The word is Keeper, and I tried to make up something that looks kind of like a person keeping something. Not obvious unless you look closely, and the less obvious the better. In short I'm looking for something simple and cool. Sharper slashes, varying width lines, thicker or whatever you think works. That rune/glyph should be at the center of a stylized star. See the "Logo Star" file. Wavy flame-like tips radiating from the center circle, with the rune/glyph in the circle. Maybe even some depth to the circle, like an opal or something slightly shiny. The star/rune/glyph should be purple and black like the cover if possible. Replace the current picture with the logo and I think we have a cover. :)
Because all five (5) covers will be very similar, I'd like to look at all five for a price close to one. If that's not possible I'd like to be able to come back every two months for the next cover in the sequence and have it designed to match the first. This should be possible if you keep the raw files after the initial design. NOTE: I mention this in the Content Details, but the star logo at the center of the book cover should also be kept as a separate file, for use on other items. And of course, Thanks!
