Kenny Bomer

Kenny Bomer (Mujahid Islam) reverted to Islam from Christianity at the age of 17. He currently resides in his hometown of Houston, Texas, where he hosts the popular YouTube talk show, Consider Islam LIVE with Kenny Bomer on the Consider This TV Network and functions as a Khatib for various Masjids. He is also the president of the Brazosport Islamic Society in Lake Jackson, Texas. Bomer is a student of Mishkah University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies. He is an independent researcher in the field of comparative religions, a public speaker, debater, and a community activist. Bomer is a former Hip-Hop/Rap artist who had recording contracts with the record labels Mr. Henry/Ichiban Records (1986) and King B Music (2000). Along with his writing and community work, Bomer is also a certified API (510) Pressure Vessel Inspector through the American Petroleum Institute. At the age of eleven, Bomer became a ward of the state after he and his younger brother were abandoned shortly after his parents separated. He then became a resident of the Brazoria County Youth Home (BCYH) in Freeport, Texas, until the age of eighteen. It was during that time that Bomer was first introduced to religion through Christian employees of the BCYH who regularly attended Assemblies of God Churches. It was also during that time that Bomer was exposed to the religion of Islam through his fellow group mate, Norris J. Burse (a.k.a. known as Champ X or Norris Muhammad) who together with Bomer were known as the Hip-Hop/Rap group, Def Squad. Kenny Bomer and Norris Burse drew national attention in the late 80’s to early 90’s for their student/teacher collaboration in the music business, while Burse was employed as a History teacher, and was one of Kenny Bomer’s football coaches at Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas. It was through Burse’s affiliation with the Nation of Islam, best known for people such as Malcom X, Louis Farrakhan, and Elijah Muhammad, that Kenny Bomer was introduced to Islam after reading a copy of the Qur’an during a trip to a recording studio. Bomer accepted Islam after thoroughly examining the religion during his own independent studies and research.

In today's world, a new social contagion is being spread by provocateurs and social media influencers who seem bent on pressuring people to accept falsehood over truth. Battle lines have been drawn on both sides of the debate regarding "Transgenderism" and the mental health effects of Gender Dysphoria. As the battle rages, First Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech protecting the rights of people to say unpopular things without government interference, and the right to refuse to say things the government wants said, are being called into question. While the minority group argues their right to self-identify to accommodate their own feelings while defying biological design in the process, the majority argues to defend their right to disagree with the claims of people who psychologists affirm suffer from mental health issues. Common sense and basic language are being challenged as innovative words have been invented to define not two, but one hundred genders as claimed by some. This recent phenomenon leaves society to face provocative questions; Who is oppressing who? And for the God-Conscious; What roll does our Creator play in it all?
