I am looking for a book cover for my next novel Queen of Souls. Below is a summary of the book to help you get a general feel for things. In addition, I have included the specs that are required.
QOS is an erotic story about a fallen angel set in Hell. In this book, Hell isn't the fire and brimstone most people associate with the underworld. In QOS, Hell exist in a different realm and inhabited by fallen angels, demons, humans, and demon-dead.
Hell is still a dark place. There is no sun in Hell, only a broken moon (see attached picture as example). The overall feel of the book is dark, sensual, sexy. It is erotic, after all. There are cities in Hell, as well as deserts, mountains, glaciers, and an ocean. Only this ocean is known as the Sea of Souls and is what most people would consider Purgatory. I've attached a map that will be included in the book to help w/ the general layout of the landscape.
My main character has black hair and black wings. She is a kick ass kind of fallen angel and prefers to wear tank tops, tight leather pants, and knee high leather boots. Her two main love interests are a male bull demon with dark red skin and black linage markings similar to tribal tattoos (see attached sample) and a female half human/half gargoyle.
The two elements I would most like to see in terms of design are 1) the fallen angel and 2) the broken moon. The cover should also include the title Queen of Souls and author name: Jennifer Kohout. Otherwise, I encourage you to be creative.
The book will be available as an ebook and in paperback.
Please be able to provide a layered Photoshop file with these specs:
Height: 2500 px
Width: 1560 px
Color Space: RGB
Please separate all major elements in layers, especially any copy.
Also include any fonts used.
If you would like, you can see the covers from my previous books as well as get a general "feel" for me as an author on my website http://www.jenniferkohout.com. However, I am looking for something different from my previous covers. This is a stand alone book that does not relate to any of the others I have written. This is also a new genre for me. I would like the cover to stand out from the rest, which is why I made the decision not to use the same artist as before.
